One year ago today, I left Glasgow University.
It's amazing how much happens and changes in one year.
I mean, this time last year, I was miserable. I'm not going to sugar-coat it. I was probably at my lowest. I'd just left uni, I was ill, I wasn't getting to go out and behave like a normal 18 year old. I felt like a big, fat failure quite frankly.
And now, 12 months down the line, I couldn't feel better. Mentally and physically.
I'm glad I did leave uni last year. I think I needed the year out. I needed the time to grow up a bit, to get to know myself a bit better, and to just chill out.
I love the way things are now. I'm happy.
Who'd have thought that a ten minute meeting with my adviser of studies on a rainy Wednesday afternoon could have started the ball rolling there?
