I must admit, this being an invalid thing is getting really boring, really quickly.
In the past week, I have:
- Watched all of series 6 of Dawson's Creek. And cried at the last episode. Again.
- Mastered the art of knitting. I can knit one and purl one like the best of them.
- Dabbled in a bit of cross-stitch.
- Watched a lot of Countdown, property programmes and relocation programmes.
- Slept a lot.
- Poked at my great big scar a lot (photo to come!)
- Been generally very lazy.
Looking at that, it would appear that I've turned into an old woman. Since when do 18 year olds knit? That's... Ew. Soon I'll be popping over to Gran's to share knitting patterns and so on.
There are up sides to being ill, though. Like you get a lot of presents. I have more teddy bears now that I care to admit to. I even got a very nice bottle of perfume from my old primary 7 teacher. How nice is that? And my room is a nightmare of cards.
All because I had 14 inches of my bowel removed. Magic!
I'm getting really bored of it, though. I can't wait until I'm feeling better and I can go out and get a job.
I can't believe I just said I wanted a job... I must be ill.
Anyway, I'm going to shuffle off (yep, I can't walk too well either. I am turning into a pensioner) and do a bit more knitting. I can only do straight things at the moment, so it looks like one of my many new teddy bears might be getting a scarf.
It's at times like that I really want to smack my head off my desk and ask myself if this is actually happening to me...
