Ice skating, essays and the Little Mermaid

Before this entry begins (and I don't even know where it's going after I've got this out of my system), please give me some time to express my sorrow for poor Chris Fountain, aka naughty Justin Burton from Hollyoaks, on not winning Dancing on Ice.

It is such a shame that a boy who can make Lycra and sparkles look so good cannot walk away with a trophy.

I refuse to admit that Suzanne Shaw was the better skater, and I do believe that my Sunday nights will no longer be as joyful. I'll only have Lost to look forward to now. And as much as I love it for the grubby, sweaty men, there is a distinct lack of glitz, glamour and falling over.

And so, on with the blog.

I'm now in week 8 at uni. Which means that, including this week, I have only four weeks of classes left. This only terrifies me slightly.

I got back my mark for my horrific devolution essay. You know the one, I must have ranted about it at least three times. That was me being kind, too. I could have ranted much longer.

In spite of the horror of it all, I did quite well. I got 68%.

And no, I still don't know what 'devolution' means and no, I don't really care. One of these days my luck will run out. And that's probably when I'll sit and cry. Or blog about it at length.

Speaking of crying, I might go watch the Little Mermaid. Nothing like a good Disney film to get the old waterworks going. Am I the only one that fancied Eric, the prince in the film, as a child? Or have I now gone too far?

I'll leave you now to ponder that one.
