Mmm, Aidan Shaw!

Attached Image

I posted that for one simple reason - because I can. Mmmm, Mr Shaw. What a man.

Yes, the Sex and the City marathon is coming to a close. It's been just over a week, and I'm onto the last series now. It's all a bit sad. I wonder what I'll do with my time when it's over... Watch Dawson's Creek from the start, no doubt.

Anyway, we have a photo of Aidan (actor John Corbett), because I love him. I don't just like him. I love him. Carrie's boyfriend from Series 3/4, he's just perfect in every way. He is what a man should be. He's so sweet. And cute. And he has a great dog. Called Pete - what a great name for a dog. And he calls Carrie "pop tart". Is that not jus the sweetest thing you ever heard?

Yes, I do have impossibly high expectations - not only when it comes to the opposite sex, but in all areas of my life - and it does end up leaving me very disappointed. But I'm settling for nothing less than a man of Aidan standards.

Why Carrie didn't marry him is beyond me. He got her such a good ring, too.

Enough of my "I've been single too long so I'll prattle about fictional characters" babble.

Yesterday was good fun. Elaine and I went for lunch then went and got our makeup done at the Benefit counter in Boots. Utterly fabulous! I am an expensive make up junkie. But, as I said to Elaine, once you've gone over-priced make up, there ain't no going back. It just feels better. And you're actually forced to use it, because who pays £21.50 for a lip and cheek stain?

You can see exactly what the nice Benefit lady did to me if you click on this bad boy. I apologise for the photo, but MySpace has turned us all into a nation of posers. Magnifique, non?

Ah, see. I may not have been at uni doing French since Novermber, but I've still got the skills!

So I spent more money than I have, on things I don't particularly need, and felt so much better for it. I adore spending money. I'm going to have problems. I'll be like Becky Bloomwood from Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series... And that upsets me, because Becky kind of bugs me.

Ah, well. I suppose it'll be worth it if I have lots of nice shoes and make up.

I forced Elaine into buying a top and shoes, because I'm a bad person. I only did it because I knew she wanted them really, she just needed a bit of encouragement. I was thinking of her, really.

Sometimes, I do not doubt how great a friend I am.
